Day 3 Saw another 25 knots by race 2 Sorry for not posting the news slightly earlier. On Tuesday evening we got stuck at the bar with a bunch of Australians, Pommies, Bermudans and Americans after the racing and there was no way that I would still write a report thereafter. Ian Pinnell is a legendary chap when one has a party with the guy!

See this is the problem I can't quite remember what exactly happened in those races on that day all I know is we capsized in the first race on the gybe set. The classic one where in about 22 knots of breeze you round the offset mark and want to bear off around the mark to do a gybe set. I bore off and wanted to clip the boom across. Some funny gust hit us and the boom did not want to play with so it went back and we capsized. We lost about 10 positions and in a fleet like this it is very hard to pick those positions up again.

The second race we had a good start and we were right up there. The wind increased again to 25 knots as usual!! and we fought the elements. We actually did not do too bad considering.
