The dates for the 2012 505 Worlds in La Rochelle, France have been set. The time has come for the interested parties to put a plan together of how we are going to attend the event.
The planning for the 2012 505 World championships needs to start now in all earnest. There are a number of options open to us as to how we can attend the event and I think that it is important that we put these into perspective. It is my opinion that there is no appetite to ship boats over to the event. We thus left with two alternatives,

1. Charter a boat there and use the pre worlds to set it up. At the 2010 worlds the cost was around Euro 1500.

2. Buy a boat there, sail it and ship it back to SA. At present there are some good deals available in Germany and if you plan to bring a boat back, this is a good idea.

Let us discuss this in order to ensure that we have a strong SA contingent at the worlds. La Rochelle, promises to be a super venue for sailors and family alike.
