Following the results of an appeal hearing, the President of the South African 505 Racing Association is proud to announce the winners of the 2007 Nationals held at Aeolians from the 22nd-24th September.

The first three positions are as follows:

1. Graeme Willcox & Tiffany Baring-Gould
2. Thomas Funke & Peter Funke
3. Albrecht Holm & Warwick Ham

Congratulations to everyone who took part. The Exco is convinced that this was one of the most competitive nationals held in recent years. The results as reported here are after a protest, held after racing on the 24th, as well as two appeals, the first held on the 27th September and the most recent held on the 19th October 2007.

The decision of the last appeal was as follows: "The appeal is upheld. Race one of the Championship should be abandoned and the results recalculated."

Lets hope that future national championships are decided on the race course and not in the appeal room
